A lot's happened in the past year, I haven't really been online that much at all. I'm just gonna keep my entry brief though. I've spent a lot of time focusing on college work and entertainment.
I really enjoyed my college course this year I did business studies and administration. I found business management to be very interesting and a fun subject. I just got my acceptance letter for HNC Accounting which is a further course that comes under business studies at first year university level.
On the entertainment side of things I've been playing loads of video games, especially Doom. Been listening to loads of music, I've bought a new CD almost every week in all sifferent styles and songs that are new and retro, I love the nostalgia and of course I've been listening to Hilary Duff CDs and watching Hilary movies too. On TV and movies side I've been watching a lot of dramas, comedies, horror and action movies. I've also been to 2 live events in the space of 1 and a quarter months which have been 2 of the best days of my life.
Back on Thursday 8th June I seen The New Statesman with Trowelhands, we were in the 4th row, the show was totally awesome very funny, I practically couldn't stop laughing through the whole thing, the jokes and gags were hilarious, Rik Mayall's a comic genius especially at improvisation, there was this tosser that was shouting at Rik so Rik said sarcastically "well there goes Tony Blair's biggest fan" and then Rik basically gave him finger by giving the guy the v's, everone just totally laughed at the comic genius of that and clapped for Rik. A bit later Rik had a little trouble with his lines and said "he must be dentist, cause I can't get these words out" refering to the tosser that was kicked out and got another good laugh and clap.
The best day ever though was Sunday 23 April, I went to the Hilary Duff live concert in Glasgow. I arrived very early and got the greatest surprise of my life at 4.30 pm that day as I met Hilary when she arrived at the SECC, she pulled up in a silver/grey 4x4 vehicle and signed autographs even though she was running late and she said "hey" to me, she said it to people in groups and she was within less than a metre away from me when she said it. I didn't really have anything for her to sign as I wasn't expecting to meet her so I go out the back of my photocopied map at the last minute (cheesy I know but it was all I had) and I said "Hi Hilary, can you sign this?" she looked directly at me and Troy her bodyguard (who's also a little bit of a celebrity himself as he was an extra in Lizzie McGuire as Mr Lang and he's also Hilary's dialogue coach) said to me "could you stand back please while this girl gets a picture?" I said "yeah no problem" in a very nervous reaction. Then Troy said to eveyone "that's all Hilary has time for today, she has to go in for soundcheck, she'll see you all tonight at the show." Then they she went inside. I was extremely close to getting an autograph but no cigar, my heart was absolutely pounding through the whole experience, I was that nervous I was visibly shaking it was at that moment I realised what had just happened, I had actually just met my idol and immediately called friends and relatives and I couldn't stop saying things along the lines of "oh my god". I couldn't believe it was really her, Hilary was just amazing in person, looks even more amazing than she does on the TV. The show started 3 hours later at 7.30 which started off with the support band called My Awesome Compilations, they were good and at 8.30 Hilary took the stage and it was absolutely amazing I was in row S seat 36 (19th row), she sung the whole show live and she sounded absolutely amazing, great voice she has, the special effects were great too. The whole show was amazing and she even sang the song "I Am" and that one's my favourite song by Hilary, that was a great performance. She hit every note flawlessly, this must be because she's use to singing live as she's done loads of live performances from her tours in the past in The US and Canada and the rest of the world but this was the first concert she's done in the UK, she's certainly got experience in that department. Greatest day of my life that was.
I can really drag on about things, once I get started on a topic sometimes I can't stop, hehe. Anyway that's basically how things are for me at the moment.
